Carbon Valley Academy Board of Directors

 

The Carbon Valley Academy is governed by a board of directors. Currently, directors are the parents of Carbon Valley Academy students and members of the broader community. Board elections are held each spring as board positions become vacant. The next board position that will be elected will be one position in May of 2011. The board hires and supervises the Executive Director who in turn hires and supervises all school staff.

JaNean Davis—President and Treasurer

JaNean Davis grew up in Washington State. Her husband’s work brought their family to Colorado about 9 years ago. JaNean has six kids: Christopher (12), Hannah (9), Abigail (7), Joshua (4), Ryan (4), and Emily (2). As you can see, she has at least one child in every school at CVA.


JaNean is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. When not at her school or volunteering at her kids’ school she enjoys taking her kids hiking, bike riding, rollerblading and has recently picked up snowshoeing. She also enjoys reading.

 

JaNean's term on the CVA Board runs until 2015.

Scott Barnes

Scott moved to Colorado's Western Slope in 1993. In 1996, he graduated from Mesa State College in Grand Junction with a Bachelor's of Business Administration. Following graduation he accepted a position with a Denver area business and relocated to the Front Range. Scott is still employed with the same company. His current position is IT Director for the North America region. His responsibilities include a staff of 9, and IT infrastructure that spans eight locations in North America, serves over 500 clients, and interfaces to other operations around the world.


Scott and his wife, Amy, moved to Firestone in 2000. They have two boys, Grant (4th grade) and Logan (1st grade) attending CVA. The Barnes' enjoy baseball, bicycling, camping, trains, and hiking in their free time. Scott also enjoys fixing up his Suzuki Samurai and exploring Colorado.


Scott's term on the CVA Board runs until 2014.

Micol Ingino

Micol Ingino has lived in Frederick with her husband Seth and their three sons for 10 years. They currently have two sons that attend CVA.

 

Micol is a business owner and a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and Bodyworker. She has been a part of CVA since its inception and has been a Board Member since 2008. She loves spending time with her family, making new friends and keeping up with old ones. She also enjoys baking, skiing, being outdoors and is passionate about being involved with her children's education.

 

Micol is always there to help people out whenever needed and is dedicated to working together with Parents, Staff and other Board Members in continuing Carbon Valley Academy's mission and vision. She is truly honored to be a part of the community and the CVA family.

 

Micol's term on the CVA Board runs until 2013.

Maria Goter

Maria has lived in the Tri-Town area for 17 years with her husband Robin. She has 2 children attending CVA, Marina is in 2nd grade and Campbell is in 1st grade. She has been involved with CVA since its opening and is passionate about supporting our school.  Maria has been on various committees and volunteered many hours to support the organization as a whole. She is very honored to be filling in for the director in absence and will continue to assist CVA in moving forward. 

 

Maria is currently employed at Rocky Mountain Christian Church as the Moppets coordinator, Intersection Small Group Leader and on the 502 Service Coordinator. She loves to be with her children, scrapbooking and being involved in the community.    

Wayne Reyburn

Wayne Reyburn

 

Wayne Reyburn is a parent at CVA with one son in first grade and one son at the CVA preschool. He graduated from college in 2000 with his Bachelors degree, and has been recognized with awards in his different professional careers. Wayne spent the past five years as the Vice President of Insurance Service for Teegarden Financial, focusing on helping clients solve complex financial problems and capitalize on unique wealth building opportunities.

 

Wayne is active in the local community and has shown his willingness to help the children of our community. He is instrumental in running a 300 plus children's basketball program through his local church, Rocky Mountain Christian Church. He has also served as a baseball coach for two baseball teams through the Carbon Valley Rec. District.

 

Wayne's term on the CVA Board runs until 2015.
