Middle School Elective 1- This week we will continue exploring different kinds of Zumbas as we finish up the Zumba unit.
 
Middle School Elective 2- We will introduce some of the fundamentals of plyometrics and continue to explore fun variations of volleyball and kickball.
 
K-5- Throughout the elementary school grades we will explore non-locomotor movement patterns and integrate them into fun and dynamic games. 
MS Elective 1: This week we embark on a new unit exploring the dance styles of various decades. The first decade: the 1950's.
 
MS Elective 2: This week we will begin a new unit looking at various wall and net games. We will also learn about some fundamental concepts of human physiology and how it is affected by exercise.
 
K-5: This week we will introduce a new warm up modality and continue to explore movement in all the planes of motion at various intensities and rhythms.
MS Elective 1: This week we continue our exploration of the dance crazes from different decades. This week we look at the 1960's.
 
MS Elective 2: This week we learn about the different kinds of stretching and continue our voyage into the world of wall and net games. 
 
K-5: This week we continue to play in all the planes of motion at various intensities and rhythms. We also will work on our manipulation skills via basketball games and drills.

MS Elective 2: This week we will learn about some basic exercise physiology while also returning to net and throwing games.
 
K-5: This week we continue to play in all the planes of motion at various intensities and rhythms. We will also continue our manipulation skill development via throwing drills and games.

MS Elective 1: This week we will take a break from exploring the dance crazes of past decades as we have a guest instructor to come teach us how to square dance. 
 
MS Elective 2: This week we will continue to learn about basic exercise physiology while also continuing our unit on net and throwing games.
 
K-5: This week we continue to play in all the planes of motion at various intensities and rhythms. We will also continue our manipulation skill development via throwing drills. We will then explore our throwing skills in dynamic environments by playing various games.

MS Elective 1: We will wrap up our class and the second trimester with a performance devoted to the best dance crazes of the 2010's.

MS Elective 2: This week we will finish the second trimester off with some fun variants of classic sports like basketball, volleyball, and soccer.

K-5: This week we continue to play in all the planes of motion at various intensities and rhythms. We will also continue our manipulation skill development by adding in more rhythmic components.

Sports Performance: We will start the first week of the trimester off with acquiring baseline measurements for a variety of assessments. We will also begin introducing the proper technical models for acceleration, top end speed, and change of direction.
 
Team Sports: This first week of the trimester will be spent learning about the history and rules of the most popular sport in the world, soccer or futbol. We will also begin learning the fundamentals for various other team sports.
 
K-5: This week we continue to play in all the planes of motion at various intensities and rhythms. However, we will shift our focus from manipulation skill development to movement competency.

Sports Performance: After completing our assessments last week, we will now begin a deep-dive into the proper technical models for speed, acceleration, and change of direction. 
 
Team Sports: This week we will look into the history and rules of volleyball while also playing mini games and variations of volleyball to develop skill in the various aspects of the sport.

  I have sent out emails detailing the general plans for our distance learning to all of the kiddos' school emails. If they have not received it, check the spam or junk mail folders. I went into greater detail in the emails, but here are the plans for this week:
 
Sports Performance: This week the students will learn about the importance of context when viewing fitness-related videos on social media. They will also continue their bio-motor skill acquisition pertaining to acceleration, change of direction, and max velocity mechanics via virtual workout plans found in their google classroom.
 
Team Sports: This week students will be learning about the history of baseball and make videos of them playing the sport using random, household items.
 
K-5: This week I will be uploading daily videos to their google classrooms that will contain brief lessons and activities for the kiddos to do on their own so they can stay active during this hiatus.

Team Sports: This week students will be learning about the history of tennis. They will also be making videos of themselves playing the sport using random, household items.

Team Sports: This week students will be learning about the history of basketball. They will also be participating in a collaborative video project.

Team Sports: This week students will be learning about the magically mystifying mythology of Quidditch. They will also be getting creative and making videos of themselves playing the sport using random, household items.
 
K-5: This week I will continue to be uploading daily videos/ video recaps to their google classrooms under the "CLASSWORK" tab that will contain brief lessons and activities for the kiddos to do on their own so they can stay active during this hiatus.

Sports Performance: Based off the three-day training programs that were created by the students more than a week ago, we will continue to go into greater depth on some training concepts to increase understanding of them and allow for more effective application to the students' own physical activity. They will then revise their three-day programs based on their newly acquired knowledge of programming fundamentals. 
 
Team Sports: This week students will be learning about the most popular sport in the USA, American Football. They will also be getting creative and making videos of themselves playing the sport using random, household items.
